Details:
Join us for a lively evening of Contra Dancing on Thursday, July 2, from 6-8 pm at the library, as we kick off the July 4th weekend! This high-energy social dance has been bringing communities together for generations, and no experience is required—it's easy to learn! Participants will move in lines with partners and neighbors to the rhythm of upbeat folk music. Enjoy live music from a band and guidance from a friendly dance caller, ensuring everyone can join in on the fun. The atmosphere will be welcoming, so feel free to bring your family (kids are welcome!), friends, or come solo. Wear comfortable shoes and festive red, white, and blue attire if you like. This event is free and open to all ages, but please register in advance so we know how many attendees to expect. Don't miss out on an evening filled with laughter and great music! Sponsored by The Friends of the Barrington Public Library and the Barrington 250 Committee.
