Details:
Join us for "When the Connecticut River Decided the Revolution," an in-person event exploring how the Connecticut River influenced the revolutionary sentiments in the colony. Matthew Warshauer, a history professor at Central Connecticut State University, will delve into the contrasting perspectives of inhabitants on either side of the river regarding economics, religion, and land availability, which fueled a politically charged revolt, particularly from the East. This event is the first in a series of three, and attendees are encouraged to register for each event separately to ensure adequate seating. The series is funded by Pat Moran and sponsored by the Avon Historical Society, Avon Library, and Avon Senior Center. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about Connecticut’s unique revolutionary history!
