THURS 5:30 PM - Bellydance Flow - All Levels - Spanish-Arabi Fusion

Experience the refined fusion of two storied dances in our 9-week Bellydance Flow: Spanish-Araby Choreography Session with Safiya Nawaar. This program blends the fiery expressiveness of Flamenco with the lyrical elegance of Arab dance to create a sophisticated, emotionally charged movement language designed for the stage and the studio.
We will be using full skirts and 1/2 circle veils!

Schedule: 9-week session, Thursdays, 5:30–6:15 PM
Class #9 will be a Dress Rehearsal for any students joining us on the stage at our Show on August 8th
Start Date: June 4
(Please note we do not have class on June 18th - the studio will be closed that evening)
Format: Available LIVE in Studio and ONLINE via ArabesqueLex-Online
Level: Open to Students of ALL LEVELS; designed to challenge while remaining accessible
Attire & props: Full skirts and chiffon veils to enhance texture, line, and flow of the dance
~ What you’ll explore ~
Flamenco fundamentals with a duende-driven approach: rhythm, pulse, stamping, heel work, and poised artistry
Arab dance finesse: nuanced isolation, elegant arabesque lines, undulations, hip work, and expressive storytelling
Fusion fabric: seamless integration of Flamenco and Arab vocabularies to create a cohesive, cinematic palate
Choreography development: we will complete this emotionally rich piece that we’ll refine through the 8 weeks, culminating in a polished performance-ready routine by week 9 for our rehearsal
Technique and conditioning: refined footwork, core strength, balance, flexibility, and endurance
Mindful learning: build solid technique from the ground up, then layer complexity safely and gradually
Improvisation repertoire: solid foundational moves translated into expressive improvisation with intent and artistry
