Details:
Join the Almaden Library for two enriching textile-focused events: the Fiber Arts Circle and the Textile Repair Café. In the Fiber Arts Circle, enthusiasts of crocheting, knitting, embroidery, and other hand needle crafts can gather weekly in the library's living room to share projects, refine skills, and connect with fellow crafters. Meanwhile, the Textile Repair Café offers a free, hands-on experience where participants can learn basic repair techniques for clothing or have items repaired by skilled volunteer fixers. With various stations focused on different repair skills such as hemming and patching, attendees can gain practical skills while extending the life of their favorite garments. Bring up to two textile items for on-site repairs and learn from experienced repair experts in a drop-in format. Both events are generously sponsored by the Friends of the Almaden Branch Library and are accessible for all.
