SOPHIA JOHNSON
is a powerhouse triple threat British invasion of the Austin roots music scene. Her trifecta of skills as an accomplished lead guitarist, vocalist and songwriter have made her totally at home in a competitive music city and established her as a unique talent and consummate performer. Since moving Texas a decade ago, Sophia has accrued thousands of hours on the band stand, as both band leader and side woman. She has gained a reputation as one of Austin’s most hard working musicians who never fails to deliver both musically and professionally. You can see catch Sophia multiple times a week playing in Austin, across the Hill Country and central Texas area. She holds down regular gigs at many top Austin venues, bars and restaurants playing in a variety of musical formations from solo to full band. @sjmusicatx
HOLLY MACVE
is an Irish-born, English-raised singer, songwriter, and producer known for her cinematic, haunting sound that blends Americana, alt-country, and dream pop. Described by Record Collector as “an ethereal offspring of Nick Cave blessed with the stark musical backdrop of Johnny Cash’s ‘American’ series of recordings,” she has spent the last decade penning immersive anthems of love, loss, and spiritual searching - revealing a born storyteller with a deep longing for human experience and a romantic curiosity about the world around her.
Her Celestial voice at times heartbreaking, at times filled with hope and reverie, has been described by Lana Del Rey as “one of the most beautiful in the world.” In October 2023, the two artists collaborated on the track ‘Suburban House’.
