Details:
From Tuesday, July 21 through Friday, July 24, you are welcome to come Reduce, Re-use, Recycle! at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center. This is a weeklong activity where participants can create wonderful wearable art made from “trash.” The week finishes on Saturday, July 25, with awards and a runway “Trashion Show!” event where the items will be displayed. We cannot wait to see these one-of-a-kind outfits.
Use your imagination to turn paper, plastic, and cardboard into whatever clothing item you can dream of. You can use all cereal boxes or a mixture of stuff. We will provide the “trash” that kids can sort through to make their design. Recommended for 5th through 8th grade. No admission charge, but free will donations encouraged.
For details on each class, visit siouxcitylcic.com/events-classes/ or contact Randy Peters, at rpeters@siouxcitylcic.com or Amy Linder, at alinder@siouxcitylcic.com.
