Chamber Concert

Join us for an intimate Chamber Concert featuring the NRO Alumni String Quartet, comprised of talented musicians Amelia Bailey (violin), Anna Kelleher (violin), Sarah Nichols (viola), and Andrew Shinn (cello). This concert showcases the creativity of Yamaha Piano Competition Winners Eric Kim and Phoenix Cannavo on the piano. The program includes a rich selection of works: Simon Warmth's "From Other Suns," Schumann's Piano Quartet in E-Flat Major, Brahms' Piano Quintet in F Minor, Shostakovich's String Quartet No. 3, and Pura Fé's "Rattle Songs" (arr. Tate). These pieces reflect important American narratives about migration, identity, tradition, and transformation, highlighting the ensemble's connection to the evolution of our nation's music history. This year, the NRO also collaborates with local photographers to embody the theme “American Adventures.” Don't miss this free event that bridges the past and present through music and art.
