By choosing to attend this hike, you acknowledge that you have carefully read this event description, understand the advertised distance, terrain, elevation gain, pace, and equipment requirements, have a current Heritage Hiking Club Liability Release on file, and have independently determined that you are physically capable of safely completing this hike.
All outdoor activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:

Uneven terrain
Loose rocks and slippery surfaces
Natural hazards
Wildlife encounters
Insects
Delayed access to emergency services
Physical exertion beyond your personal capabilities
Every Participant Is Expected To:
Arrive on time
Be physically capable of completing the advertised hike
Bring sufficient water and nutrition
Wear appropriate footwear and clothing
Bring all required gear
Carry necessary personal medications
Exercise good judgment throughout the hike
Respect fellow hikers, volunteer leaders, wildlife, and the environment
Water & Equipment Check
A water and gear check may be performed before departure.
For the safety of both the individual and the group, Heritage Hiking Club reserves the right to deny participation to anyone who arrives without sufficient water, proper footwear, required equipment, or who appears unprepared for the advertised conditions.
Heritage Hiking Club Liability Release
All participants must have a current Heritage Hiking Club Liability Release on file before participating in any day hike or overnight adventure.
If you have not already completed the current release, please contact Bill prior to attending or complete one before the start of the event.
Group Pace, Volunteer Leaders & Personal Responsibility
Heritage Hiking Club adventures are made possible through the generosity of our volunteer leaders and support team, who freely donate their time to help organize and facilitate these experiences for everyone to enjoy.
Our volunteer leaders are not acting as professional guides, medical providers, rescuers, or personal supervisors for individual participants. They are present to facilitate the group experience and promote a safe, enjoyable, and organized outing for all.
Participants are expected to hike at a pace appropriate for the advertised difficulty level and remain with the group unless otherwise directed by a hike leader.
Every participant is solely responsible for their own decisions, physical condition, fitness level, pace, hydration, nutrition, medications, equipment, and overall personal well-being before, during, and after the activity.
As a condition of participation, every participant is required to have a current Heritage Hiking Club Liability Release on file. That signed release includes Heritage Hiking Club, Bill & Tina Furey, HHC's volunteer leaders, support team members, and other released parties.
Please respect and follow the reasonable directions of our volunteer leaders so we can provide a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience for everyone.
