Teen Zines! With Crystalyn Whitaker-Nelson at the Cedar Grove-Line Avenue Branch

Join us for an exciting combination of creativity and storytelling at the Cedar Grove-Line Avenue Branch! Participate in "Teen Zines!" with Caddo Parish Poet Laureate Crystalyn Whitaker-Nelson, where you'll learn to create your own zine—a personalized booklet to express your unique personality and story. Simultaneously, dive into the "Plant a Scene: Stop Motion Creation Lab," where tweens and teens can bring their imaginations to life through stop motion animation. Design characters, build sets, and film your stories with library equipment and expert guidance, culminating in a showcase at the Plant a Scene Film Festival on July 27th. Additionally, don't miss our "Craft Happens!" session featuring eco-friendly seed mosaic creation, where you can craft art that’s kind to the planet. All materials will be provided, but space is limited, so register in advance at our Information Services desk or by calling 318-869-0120.
