Join us for Woodshop Open Hours at NESTL, a fantastic opportunity to work on your personal woodworking projects! To participate, you must first complete the Woodshop Orientation class. During Woodshop Open Hours, you'll have access to tools and workspace, with knowledgeable Woodshop Stewards available for machine guidance and safety support.
What to Expect:
- Refresher on tool operation as needed to ensure safe and confident use.
What to Bring:
- Your project ideas (sketches, pictures, or plans) and any materials you have already sourced.
Please Note:
- Sign up for the Woodshop Orientation before attending. If the scheduled times aren't convenient, fill out our Woodshop Open Hours Request Google Form for personalized support.
Cost:
- A $15 access fee is charged, with a suggested donation of $15 per hour of usage to help keep the Woodshop operational. Payment for additional time can be made via a QR code after your session.
Safety & Supervision:
- All sessions are supervised by our instructors and Woodshop Stewards to ensure safe operation of tools. For any inquiries, reach out via email.
Accessibility:
- The facility is largely wheelchair accessible, though some limitations exist. Non-English or ASL interpreters are not provided, but you may bring your own.
Getting There:
- Accessible via public transit (Metro bus routes 372 and 61), biking (with bike storage available), or by car (limited parking available). Please be aware that there is no ADA accessible parking.
