Two Shows: 9-6 (Dinner Buffet) & 9-7 (Brunch Buffet) The Bull Run & Cannon Theatre presents “DEATH BY DESSERT” Written by Nathan Hartswick and Performed by the Cannon Theatre In New York’s “Little Italy”, the Donnaducce and Duccedonni families have been feuding for generations - although no one is actually sure why. The feud is made even more bitter since they also operate separate but competing Italian restaurants - that just happen to share a common wall! As the show begins, the building’s landlord, Maria is found lying dead at center stage. Flashing back in time, Maria narrates the story that leads up to her death. Who killed her and why? Was it someone from the Donnaducce family – Don (the head of da family and owner of the restaurant), Nino (the fiery head chef), or one of Don’s idiot henchmen sons – Frankie or Louie? Or could it have been someone from the Duccedonna family – Donna (da family matriarch and restaurant owner), Nina (the sensitive artist and head chef), or one of Donna’s flighty daughters – Francie or Louise? Even the restaurant waiters and staff are implicated. See if you can help Maria solve her murder and discover the truth behind the feud that has driven these families apart – before someone else is killed! The Cannon Theatre was founded by Shawn Cannon and Bret Bahe, who shared a dream of creating a community theater as a place for learning and performing great plays, a place where people could enjoy the company of others, laugh, and just lose themselves in the joy of artistic expression. After 10 wonderful years located in the mill buildings in Littleton, the theater had to shut down during the pandemic but used that time to begin a search for a new space, one that was slightly larger to seat more patrons yet not lose that intimate feel that is part of its DNA, one with safe and accessible parking, and one close to its original location.
