Join us for "Frame Inside a Frame: An Afternoon with Poet Daniel Lassell," featuring a poetry reading by the acclaimed author and winner of multiple awards. Lassell will read from his latest work, *Frame Inside a Frame* (TRP: The University Press of SHSU, 2025), and his prize-winning collection *Spit* (Wheelbarrow Books, 2021), as well as his chapbooks *Ad Spot* and *The Emptying Earth*. Following the reading, there will be a book signing with copies available for purchase.
Lassell's contributions to contemporary poetry have earned him numerous accolades, including finalist nominations for the 2025 Foreword INDIES Book Award and various honors for *Spit*. His work has been featured in esteemed literary journals and anthologies across the nation.
Originally from Eminence, Kentucky, where he raised llamas and alpacas, Lassell now resides in Bloomington, Indiana, with his family. He holds an MA in English from Marshall University and has professional writing experience with several companies.
