Details:
Adults. Registration required. As democracy and human rights retreat globally—and the U.S. pulls back—how can civil society and legal norms remain effective in a divided world? What is the role and force of international law in this era of impunity? Participants will receive links to materials to read in advance and should expect to engage in small group discussion.
Great Decisions is America's largest discussion program on world affairs. Global Minnesota (globalminnesota.org/discussion), a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, facilitates the statewide Great Decisions program by providing access to a roster of local foreign policy experts and to discussion materials produced by the Foreign Policy Association (www.fpa.org/great_decisions).
Sponsored by the Friends of the Chanhassen Library.
