Dietler Commons is the central quad of the University of Tulsa campus, serving as a hub that connects many of the university's prominent buildings. This grassy area, formerly known as "The U," is surrounded by sidewalks that provide access to key facilities like John Mabee Hall, Chapman Hall, McFarlin Library, and Sharp Chapel. The commons is named after University of Tulsa alumni Cortlandt and Martha Dietler and is a frequent location for student events and gatherings, including the annual homecoming bonfire. It is also noted for its iconic raised garden with seasonal flowers.
