Public Hearing for the Turnbull Hammock Conservation Area

On Thursday, July 9, from 5 to 7 p.m., two significant events will take place concurrently: a Public Hearing for the Turnbull Hammock Conservation Area and the LEC: River of Lakes Photography Reception. The public hearing, hosted by the St. Johns River Water Management District at the Edgewater Public Library (103 W. Indian River Blvd., Edgewater), aims to gather community input on the development of a 10-year Land Management Plan update for the Conservation Area. Attendees can provide comments in person or submit them in writing via mail or email prior to the hearing. Meanwhile, at the Lyonia Environmental Center (2150 Eustace Ave., Deltona), community members are invited to celebrate local youth photographers who have captured the essence of the River of Lakes Heritage Corridor. This reception will showcase their work, accompanied by light refreshments. Reservations for the photography event are required. Both events offer opportunities for community engagement and appreciation of local heritage and conservation efforts.
