Details:
Join the City of Winter Park for the 31st Annual 4th of July Celebration, a patriotic event honoring America's 250th birthday, on Friday, July 3, from 6 to 9 p.m. in Central Park and the West Meadow. This free, public celebration invites attendees to bring blankets and lawn chairs while wearing red, white, and blue. The festivities kick off at 6 p.m. with opening remarks from Mayor Sheila DeCiccio and the National Anthem, followed by performances by the Bach Festival Choir and Brass Ensemble led by Dr. John Sinclair, culminating in a special patriotic tribute.
Families can enjoy a Kids Zone featuring carnival games, bounce slides, face painting, and Kona Ice®, hosted by the Parks & Recreation Department. At 6:30 p.m., children can participate in a bicycle parade, decorated bikes encouraged, with military veterans invited to march behind. A “Happy Birthday America” tribute will occur at 7 p.m., with cake and ice cream served (while supplies last) to celebrate the nation’s milestone.
Additionally, the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art will offer free admission to its galleries from July 3-5, celebrating its own 31-year history on Park Avenue, alongside the Winter Park History Museum, which will also have free admission during the event hours. This day promises to be filled with joyous celebration and community spirit!
