Seattle 2030 District

The Seattle 2030 District is a membership organization comprising real estate owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and community partners. Its mission is to reduce the environmental impact of buildings in Seattle by breaking down market barriers to building efficiency. The organization aims to make Seattle and surrounding communities more sustainable, contributing to environmental resilience, livability, and affordability. Members commit to significantly reducing water and energy use, as well as pollution from stormwater and carbon emissions from transportation by the year 2030. They develop and implement strategies to reduce adverse impacts from construction and operations, working with stakeholders managing numerous buildings to foster partnerships and advocate for policies that position Seattle as a global model for sustainability.
