Red, White, and Blue Weekend: Carding Fibers

Join us this 4th of July Weekend for an extraordinary time discovering natural dyes of 200 years ago! We know these colors well: Red, White, and Blue. They are a part of our national American flag as well as the Texas flag. But how would fabric be prepared before becoming a flag? Come out on Sunday, July 5th to learn all about how fibers are prepared before they are weaved and dyed and try carding them yourself! This program will run from 1pm to 4pm. We hope to see you there! This event is presented as part of Texas America250, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
