On Friday, June 26, 2026, Long Beach will host a variety of engaging events catering to different audiences. At the Recreation Park Bandshell from 7 to 10 PM, Shakespeare by the Sea presents a free outdoor performance of "Macbeth," one of Shakespeare's most renowned tragedies. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for an evening of live theater under the stars.
Earlier in the day, from 2 to 3 PM at the Burnett Neighborhood Library, children can explore music at the Instrument Petting Zoo, where they will have the opportunity to learn about and play various instruments with the guidance of professional Long Beach Symphony musicians. No registration is required, but space is limited.
Additionally, from 5 to 6:30 PM at the Michelle Obama Neighborhood Library, an "Off The Clock" social will offer parents and caregivers a well-deserved break. This program focuses on creating a relaxed environment for adults to engage in craft activities and games, fostering social connections and community resilience.
All events are designed to be inclusive, welcoming participants of all ages, and language access is available upon request.
