Celebrate the beauty of harvest season as we paint a rustic bucket overflowing with freshly harvested sunflowers. In this three-week photorealism workshop, you'll learn how to create glowing petals, rich texture, weathered galvanized metal, and incredible depth using the layering techniques that make watercolor come to life.
Whether you've taken one of my photorealism workshops before or you're ready for your next challenge, you'll leave with a painting worthy of framing—and a whole new level of confidence.
Week 1: Trust the Process
We'll trace our pattern (no drawing skills required!) and begin laying down the first washes. Fair warning... you're probably going to think it's ugly.
You may question your life choices.
You may wonder why you trusted me.
You may even consider hiding your painting under the table.
Then I'll make you leave it here anyway.
Week 2: The Magic Begins
This is where everything starts coming together. We'll build layers, add texture, deepen values, and suddenly you'll start saying, "Ohhh... now I see it."
Week 3: The Wow Factor
We'll finish all the tiny details that make photorealism so satisfying—from crisp petals and rich sunflower centers to weathered metal and beautiful finishing touches. This is the week where you'll wonder how the painting from Week 1 turned into something you can't wait to hang on your wall.
Workshop Policies
Please be sure you're able to attend bothclasses before registering. Each week builds upon the previous one, and because workshops are intentionally kept small to provide a personalized learning experience, each seat is reserved specifically for you.
All workshop registrations are final. No refunds, credits, transfers, make-up classes, or rescheduling will be offered for missed classes, schedule conflicts, illness, or other circumstances.
