Intro to Watercolor Workshop | Portsmouth

Welcome to Intro to Watercolor — the perfect starting point if you've ever wanted to learn watercolor but weren't sure where to begin.
In this 3-hour workshop, we'll cover everything you need to get started without the overwhelm (spoiler alert: you need way less than you think).
Together we'll cover:
• Watercolor supplies and what you actually need (and what you don't)
• Paper, brushes, paints, and how to avoid expensive beginner mistakes
• Basic brush stroke techniques and foundational skills
• Color mixing and understanding how watercolor behaves
• Hands-on practice exercises to build confidence before jumping in
We'll finish the workshop by putting everything together into a completed watercolor painting you'll take home with you.
This workshop is designed for complete beginners, nervous beginners, and even artists who want a stronger foundation. Questions are encouraged, mistakes are expected, and perfection is absolutely not required.
All supplies are included.
