Details:
Schenectady County on behalf of the Solid Waste Planning Unit, will host an informational public meeting to provide an overview of the key elements of the Draft Solid Waste Management Plan and allow attendees to ask questions. The meeting is open to both in-person and virtual attendees.
New York State requires that all Solid Waste Planning Units prepare and continually update a Solid Waste Management Plan on behalf of the Towns, Villages, and Cities within the Planning Unit’s jurisdiction.
The Schenectady County Planning Unit operates as an informal consortium consisting of: One city (Schenectady), five towns (Duanesburg, Glenville, Niskayuna, Princetown, and Rotterdam), and two villages (Delanson and Scotia).
Schenectady County, on behalf of the Planning Unit, has prepared a Draft Solid Waste Management Plan that defines the key elements of the future solid waste management program for the region through the year 2033.
