Details:
This multi-award-winning film is the absolutely stunning directorial debut of Annapurna Sriram (“Billions;” “The Blacklist”), who also stars. “Heated Rivalry's” steamy François "Scott Hunter" Arnaud also has a major role! The twisting — and twisted — story, inspired by the Tarot, follows The Fool as an innocent sex worker who sets out on a moped through Trashtown, USA, in search of a lucrative payday. Psychic after psychic after psychic has told her that a dreadful Curse has been cast upon her, and that this Curse can only be lifted by the slaughter of a sacrificial lamb, and… a payment of $1000. Having neither of these, the trusting ingenue goes on an adventure with an ever-bloodied girlfriend (the striking Sadie Scott) only to discover the pervasively transactional reality of our world.
While this unrated film contains no actual sex, there are several crudely suggestive scenes, so we suggest considering it as Rated R for Revolutionary. 106 minutes.
Part of the QFEST Series at Proctors.
