Details:
Loyalists & Liberty: Savannah in the American Revolution exhibit at Savannah History Museum will feature 17 newly restored American Revolutionary War cannons, two cannons displayed in their original found condition, three anchor fragments, and other incredible objects recovered from the Savannah River near Old Fort Jackson in 2021.
Join Coastal Heritage Society on July 2, 4-6PM for the exhibit’s Opening Reception at Savannah History Museum.
Be among the first to experience the exhibit and view some delicate objects that are too sensitive to remain on display permanently.
Light refreshments will be provided. Admission: $12 per person.
Spanning approximately 3,000 square feet, this landmark exhibit will present narratives more reflective of diverse participation, highlight Georgia’s role in the Revolution, and expand on naval stories.
This project has been a true community effort with an outpouring of support from corporations, heritage organizations, and individuals, but we need your help to preserve these relics and make them accessible to our community.
