**Writing from Memories / Escribir a partir de recuerdos: Bilingual Creative Writing Workshop (English/Spanish)**
Join writer Mariana Graciano for a free bilingual creative writing workshop that explores how memories transform into stories. This workshop invites participants to engage with personal and collective memories using photographs, family objects, neighborhoods, and sensory experiences as sources of inspiration. Guided by the influence of Latin American writers and artists, attendees will experiment with prose, poetry, and hybrid forms in English, Spanish, or both.
Designed for all writers, the workshop fosters multilingual expression and code-switching while focusing on themes like migration, family history, childhood, place, and cultural identity in a welcoming atmosphere. Each participant will receive a bilingual anthology featuring excerpts from prominent Latin American writers as additional inspiration and reading material.
Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, this workshop emphasizes the beauty of bilingual storytelling and its capacity to forge community connections through shared memories.
