Join Brenda for an evening of slowing down, softening, reflection and reconnecting. We gather this evening to find rest and nourishment, through long-held, supported postures, working with the quieter layers of sensation, breath, and attention. As the energy of summer expands outward, this practice invites a subtle shift inward. Through meditation, asana and pranayama we will invite in cooling, grounding and calming energy in order to balance a day spent under the potent Sun.
The summer solstice is the longest day of the year and is a powerful turning point in the seasonal cycle. It is when the sun is at its peak and Yang is at its maximum. This gathering explores summer as a time of vitality, illumination, transformation, and fullness. The cycle of the Sun represents the cycle of our lives and reflects the natural flow of energy moving inward and outward. As we reconnect to this natural rhythm we recognize this as a time to PAUSE at the height of light and reflect on what is flourishing within and what we are consciously cultivating moving forward. The brightest day of the year offers us clarity on what needs nourishing.

Brenda began her yoga journey through the power of breath, discovering how mindful movement can create more ease, balance, and space in everyday life. Trained through Casa de Yoga, she has taught and managed several yoga studios, including Yoga Mandali, and is known for creating welcoming classes that blend fluid movement, deep breathing, strength, music, laughter, and relaxation.
