Instructor Bio:
My name is Sydni Gause (she/her), and I’m a natural dyer and fiber artist based in Lynn Haven, Florida. I earned my MFA in Sculpture and Dimensional Studies from Alfred University in 2018, and since then, my practice has focused on natural dyeing and eco-printing as both a creative practice and a way of life.
Living in a warm climate allows me to cultivate my own dye plants year-round. This has become a pivotal part of my process, making my practice self-sustaining and grounded in environmental ethics that guide my work. I teach workshops locally and regionally, sharing knowledge in natural dye techniques, food waste dyeing, eco-printing, and indigo with shibori resist methods. My teaching is hands-on and rooted in a deep respect for the materials, the plants, and the slow, intentional nature of this craft.
