Watercolor Painting: Color Theory

Explore color theory through watercolor as you experiment with a variety of color schemes and palettes. Teaching artist Andres Salazar will guide you through exercises using analogous, complementary, monochromatic, and other color harmonies to help you better understand how colors interact. Through a series of hands-on painting exercises, you'll gain practical techniques for creating more balanced, expressive, and visually engaging watercolor paintings.
This beginner-friendly single-day workshop will be taught on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
This class is for ages 16 and over. The cost of this workshop is $45 per person. All skill levels are welcome and all materials are provided. Preregistration is required and space is limited. The course will be held inside the Cole Creativity Center located at 123 N 10th St, Santa Paula, CA. Free parking is available directly behind the building and students may enter through the front or back door.
