Strata Gallery proudly presents "Turning From a Fixed Direction," a solo exhibition by established artist Lita Kenyon, running from June 2 to June 19, 2026. The exhibition opens with a special reception on June 5 from 5 to 7 PM. Kenyon's work delves into abstraction, evoking balance and tension while avoiding specific narrative references, allowing meanings to arise organically as colors and gestural marks interplay. Her intuitive process involves beginning with a gesture and developing the pieces through scraping, repainting, and layering. This marks Kenyon's first solo show in New Mexico, following her MA in Fine Art from Northern Illinois University and previous exhibitions across various cities, including Seattle, San Francisco, and Santa Fe.
