"Storytelling for the Screen: Clueless" celebrates the 1995 film directed by Amy Heckerling, a stylish adaptation of Jane Austen’s "Emma." The film follows wealthy teen Cher Horowitz as she evolves from a well-meaning matchmaker into a compassionate individual. Known for its satire of 1990s youth culture and striking fashion, costume designer Mona May's innovative wardrobe choices left a lasting impact on pop culture. Following the screening, Mona May will join moderator Kelsey Moore for a discussion about the film's legacy, with a book signing of her work, "The Fashion of Clueless."

In the "Connectivity: Grand Theft Hamlet" event, filmmakers Sam Crane and Pinny Grylls discuss their innovative project where they staged a production of Shakespeare’s "Hamlet" in Grand Theft Auto Online amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Utilizing in-game footage, the documentary reflects on the challenges and connections formed through art during a period of isolation.

Lastly, "Connectivity: Blade Runner 2049" showcases the visually striking sequel to Ridley Scott’s original film, directed by Denis Villeneuve. The narrative follows K, a replicant blade runner, as he uncovers buried secrets in a dystopian future, probing themes of longing and the nature of artificial connections. The screening includes a critical introduction by Miguel Penabella, linking it to the broader theme of connectivity in contemporary media.
