Class Description:
This class introduces resource parents to a variety of parenting strategies, emphasizing approaches that promote emotional healing and trust for children and youth who have experienced trauma. Participants will develop an understanding of the principles of parenting strategies for traumatized children including attachment parenting, developmental reparenting, positive parenting, and therapeutic parenting. Through videos, discussions, and interactive activities, this class will provide resource parents practical strategies to adapt parenting approaches and interventions to meet the emotional and developmental needs of children and youth to foster a sense of trust, security, and resilience in them.
