Class Description:
This class, taught by a foster-adoptive parent, and will help you explore the world of foster adoption. We will look at the impact of grief and loss for the child as well as the adoptive parents and biological family. We will discuss the benefits of open adoption and maintaining a relationship with the child’s biological family. And we will discuss the process of adoption as a life long journey and ways of talking to your children about adoption during each developmental stage. This class is designed to better prepare you for the adoption process, as well as highlight the additional resources that will help you on your journey!
