Designed to resemble an Italian hill town, it features a Mediterranean architectural style with lush landscaping and dynamic water features. The complex offers a diverse mix of approximately 40 tenants, including high-end retail stores, lifestyle and specialty shops, and a variety of restaurants with both indoor and outdoor dining options. It also includes a cinema and serves as a popular destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment, often described as the de facto town center for Calabasas. The Commons hosts various events and activities, including a weekly Kids Club, and is known for its attractive ambiance, making it a significant commercial and civic hub for the community. It was developed by Rick J. Caruso and Caruso Affiliated, opening in 1998.
