Details:
Join us for a delightful family-friendly celebration at the "Pollinator Party" on June 26 from 10 a.m. to noon, highlighting the essential role of bees, butterflies, and birds in pollination, which is vital for many fruits and vegetables. The event features musical performances by Alyssa Easterly and her puppet friends, the Jammin Junebugs, with shows at 10 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. under the elm trees on the Great Lawn. Enjoy engaging activity stations, including an art station for flower dissection, bees-in-a-hive sensory bins, a pollinator dress-up station, bubbles, a bouncy toy area, a scavenger hunt, and seed planting with children’s author Brittany Petish. Attendees can also learn about bees and taste local honey at the Bee Discovery Station. Both the Pollinator Party and the weekly "Shows for Seedlings" are free with Garden admission, no reservations are required, and families are encouraged to bring picnic blankets for a comfortable outdoor experience. In case of inclement weather, please check the event status by emailing classes@atlantabg.org.
