Fall 2026 Immunization Compliance Deadline

The North Carolina state law requires that no person shall attend a college or university in North Carolina unless a certificate of immunization indicating that the person has received the immunizations required by law is presented to the college or university on or before the first day of registration. If the certificate of immunization has not been submitted to Winston-Salem State University by the date of the student’s initial registration, the University shall present a notice of deficiency to the student. The student shall have thirty (30) calendar days from the first day of class to obtain the required immunizations.

In accordance with the 301.6 - Immunization policy, those persons who have not complied with the immunization requirements by the end of thirty (30) calendar days will be administratively withdrawn from the University unless a valid exemption exists. The student must become compliant within five (5) calendar days after the administrative withdrawal to be re-enrolled in courses. If the student is not compliant after five (5) calendar days, then there will be no reinstatement of classes for that term.
