Join the Chaffee Rec Adopters, the USFS Salida Ranger District, and the National Forest Foundation in adding crushed stone aggregate to 13 campsite pathways, building drainage ditches at campsites, naturalizing 10+ denuded areas, removing posts from the South Arkansas River, and installing signage on campsite roads. These finishing touches will allow the new and improved campground to be opened in August to campers!
Click here for driving directions to the meet up location.
We will provide shovels, and other tools required for the trail maintenance. Bring extra shovels and tools if you have them, and wear work clothes, closed-toe shoes, and work gloves (we have extra work gloves for those who would like to borrow a pair). Bring plenty of water, a lunch, layers, and sunscreen.
The Chaffee Rec Adopters is a Chaffee County program, funded by the Common Ground Fund and run by GARNA.
