The Middletown hot air balloon festival known as The Ohio Challenge is one of Butler County's most unique festivals. The festival takes place in July annually, and showcases over 30 colorful hot air balloons, a laser light show, fireworks, skydiving performances, and more!
The Ohio Challenge features over 30 skilled balloon pilots competing in aerial balloon challenges, a classic car show, carnival rides, live entertainment, tethered balloon rides, a balloon glow evening, arts and crafts, and more!
