Details:
The digital exhibit "Standing for Justice: The Japanese American Journey in Oregon" offers a compelling exploration of Japanese American contributions to democracy and the fight against injustice, coinciding with Oregon's commemoration of the nation’s 250th anniversary. Highlighting influential Oregonians such as Elisa Dozono, Tiffany Koyama Lane, Lynn Nakamoto, Bill Naito, Minoru Yasui, and Mari Watanabe, the exhibition showcases their embodiment of democratic ideals and the causes championed by the Japanese American community in Oregon. Hosted at the Capitol, this exhibit, originating from the Japanese American Museum of Oregon and partially sponsored by the Oregon State Capitol Foundation, will be available digitally until August 7.
