Details:
Join us for a new, multisensory experience of works from our Pre-Raphaelite gallery led by Laura Plaster, an educator at Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library. During this guided one-hour discussion, familiar paintings from the collection will be paired with curated fragrances from independent perfumers to explore the significance of scent in the compositions, and the cultural norms around fragrance during the Victorian era. Slow down, sniff something new, and consider the ways that smell influenced the Pre-Raphaelites and continues to influence our own experience of art.
