Kids Art and Nature Class

Join the Kids Art and Nature Class at Sweetbriar Nature Center, designed for young creative individuals aged 7-12 who seek a unique artistic experience. Under the guidance of an experienced professional environmental artist, participants will engage in artistic journaling while exploring the beautiful grounds of Sweetbriar, logging their ideas, and creating projects inspired by their observations. This nurturing art community encourages sharing and fosters both art fundamentals and creative expression through nature. Each class costs $40 or $30 for members, and includes drop-off options. Attendees should pack snacks, water, and sunscreen, and wear comfortable, dirt-friendly clothes suitable for hiking. Some art supplies are provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own as long as they can carry them. Please note that tickets are non-refundable and there are only 10 spots available. Classes are scheduled for Sunday, May 17th, May 31st, and June 14th from 1:00 to 3:30 PM.
