Join us for Royse City’s 20th Annual Celebrating Freedom on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the open area behind Royse City Middle School Stadium, beginning at 7:00 PM. Gather your family and friends for an unforgettable evening filled with live music, carnival rides, and delicious food from various food trucks, culminating in one of the area’s most spectacular fireworks shows in honor of America’s 250th Birthday. Admission is FREE!
The event features a Kids’ Zone open from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM, where $10 armbands grant access to all carnival rides and a rock climbing wall, with additional charges for face painting, glow-in-the-dark toys, and food & drinks. Parents can ride with small children at no extra cost.
Enjoy live performances starting with Big Gus and Swampadelic from 7:00 PM to 7:50 PM, followed by feature artist Glen Templeton from 8:15 PM to 9:40 PM. Food trucks will be available from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
The pre-fireworks ceremony begins at 9:45 PM, leading into the fireworks display at approximately 10:00 PM. Parking will be available at Glenda Arnold Learning Center, Davis Elementary, and Ouida Baley Middle School, with overflow parking directed by police and CERT volunteers. Please note that parking on grass at Ouida Baley Middle School is prohibited and will be enforced.
Bring your lawn chairs or blankets for seating, but canopies are not allowed to ensure everyone has a clear view. For safety, no skateboards, bicycles, scooters, or alcohol/tobacco use will be permitted on school property.
