North Lamar Donor Center

Join us for a special blood donation drive at the KAPS Charter School, hosted by Millipore Sigma and the North Lamar Donor Center. Donating whole blood is essential as it involves giving a pint of blood, which is then separated into vital components like red cells, plasma, and platelets, to support local patients in need. We aim to recruit about 200 donors each day to meet the community's demand. You can schedule an appointment for either a whole blood or double red cell donation. The entire donation process, including check-in and refreshments, takes about 45 minutes to an hour, with the actual blood donation lasting 15 to 35 minutes, depending on your choice. Our friendly staff will guide you through a brief personal history and wellness exam to ensure your eligibility.
