Tend the Soil, Touch the Sky: Vietnamese Immigrants in Placer County is a photo and video exhibit dedicated to capturing the faces, voices, and experiences of Vietnamese refugees and immigrants in our local Placer County area 50 years after the end of the Vietnam War.Â
Watch the Tend the Soil promotional video.
Honors students from various disciplines, such as Ethnic Studies, History, English as a Second Language (ESL), Graphic Design, and Building Industries, have worked together to collectively create the exhibition in celebration of Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Month.
The exhibit is generously supported by the Sierra College Foundation (SCF) and the American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institution (AANAPISI) Collaborative Grant.
