StoryWalk

Join us for the newest StoryWalk® in Michiana at the Charles B. Hayes Family Sculpture Park from July 1 to August 31, in partnership with the St. Joseph County Public Library. This engaging national project combines the joy of reading with nature, and features the book "Wonder Walkers" by Micha Archer. Families can read together, participate in fun activities, and appreciate the art and beauty of the Sculpture Park. The StoryWalk® begins near the Hiler Family Terrace, close to Clement Meadmore’s dancing sculpture, UPBEAT, and follows a paved, gently sloping path. Parking is available in the Visitor Lot north of the park (fee applies weekdays before 4:30 p.m.), with free two-hour parking at Eddy Street Commons Garage or along Angela Blvd. After 4:30 p.m. and on weekends, parking is free in non-gated lots. South Bend Transpo riders can take the No.7 bus to the Eddy St. Commons stop. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT, in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.
