In a rare in-person visit to Southwest Virginia, staff from the Library of Virginia will be onsite at our Rocky Mount branch to share information about the LVA’s vast offerings. As the Commonwealth’s state library and archives—and boasting more than 134 million items—LVA is the leading source of information on Virginia history, culture, government, and people, from famous Virginians to everyday citizens. Based in Richmond, LVA provides online access to many of its resources and databases. Starting at 10am, drop by the Rocky Mount branch to meet LVA staff, learn about LVA’s offerings, and sign up for a LVA card. This will be a great opportunity for teachers, homeschoolers, family history researchers, and history buffs to learn about LVA’s incredible offerings.
