Ferrum Park Bicycle Rodeo & Chalk the Park!

We've Got an Exciting Update!
Our Bicycle Rodeo has officially grown into TWO days of free family fun!
Thanks to an exciting addition, our August 7th Bicycle Rodeo will feature bicycles of all sizes available for kids to ride! We'll have everything from tricycles to bikes with training wheels and larger bikes, so every child can participate—even if they don't have a bike or can't bring one to the park.
Here's what to expect:
Saturday, July 18 - 3–6 PM
This event will feature our full Bicycle Rodeo obstacle course, where kids can bring their bicycles and test their skills to earn a special prize when they complete the course. (Helmets are required!)
Chalk the Park will also be happening, so help us transform the park road into a colorful community art gallery. Bring your own chalk or use ours!
We'll also have popcorn, ice cream, and drinks available as a fundraiser supporting the Ferrum Park project.
Friday, August 7 - 3–6 PM
The Bicycle Rodeo returns—and this time it's the whole shebang!
In addition to the obstacle course, we'll have bikes available for kids to ride, making it easy for everyone to join in the fun.
-Chalk the Park returns for another afternoon of creativity.
-Come hungry! We'll be serving walking tacos, ice cream, and drinks as a fundraiser for the park.
-The rodeo will take place during our First Friday Farm & Craft Market, with Ryan Greer providing live music throughout the evening.
-Don't forget the Bike Swap! Bring a bicycle your child has outgrown and see if there's one that's the perfect fit for another family.
Pack the Porch will also be happening at both events, collecting personal care items for the Ferrum Care Closet. Donations of toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, soap, feminine hygiene products, and other essentials are greatly appreciated!
Whether you join us on July 18, August 7, or both, we've got two fantastic opportunities to spend a summer afternoon making memories together. And if your kids have a blast on July 18 (we think they will!), they'll get a second chance to ride the course and join the fun again on August 7.
