July 22, 29, Aug 5, 12, 19 In this hand building class, you will learn about one of the earliest functional art forms on earth. Clay has been used for millennia to create containers that are useful, practical and beautiful. In this class with Elaine, you will learn and practice the basic pottery techniques of pinching, coiling, joining, texturing and slab building. You will also learn the practical skills of preparing, wedging and storing your claywork-in-process. This class is appropriate for total beginners as well as those who are experienced with clay who want to get back to the basics. Come and clay with us! Fee includes up to 25 lbs. of clay, glazes & firing. |
