Details:
Join us for the inaugural Front Porch Music Series at the Taubman Museum of Art, featuring acclaimed Southwest Virginia musician Seph Custer on June 14, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. This free outdoor concert celebrates regional talent on the Museum’s Patio, offering a relaxed atmosphere perfect for enjoying live music. Custer, a talented singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, is renowned for his ability to create a rich, full sound using a single modified guitar, blending genres like Americana, folk, blues, bluegrass, funk, rock, and old-time music. With over 1,200 performances and two studio albums under his belt, he has captivated audiences far and wide and has performed in tribute concerts for icons such as Bob Dylan and Carole King.
Come bring a friend, grab a drink, and enjoy an afternoon of high-energy music in a welcoming space. Refreshments, including beer and wine, will be available for purchase, and Museum Members will receive a complimentary drink ticket. The Front Porch Music Series aims to unite the community through exceptional live performances in one of downtown Roanoke's unique outdoor settings. No registration is required, but seating is limited, so early arrival is encouraged. All are welcome to unwind and experience this new cultural event!
