Celebrate your right to free speech! Looking for a way to get involved this Fourth of July before the fireworks?
Join us at the Banksy Museum for an afternoon of art, activism, and community as you create your own custom protest sign using stencil techniques inspired by one of the world's most influential street artists.
Our instructor will guide you through the stencil making process while giving you the freedom to create a message that reflects your own values and beliefs. Bring a poster board, jacket, tote bag, canvas, or any surface you'd like to customize. Poster and cardboard will be free on a first come first served basis. If you'd rather leave wearing your artwork, blank t-shirts will be available for a small additional fee.
Draw it out directly on the wall too! Between projects, add your voice to our Community Art Wall, a collaborative mural where every guest is invited to leave a mark alongside fellow participants.Â
Enjoy a live acoustic performance by NYC musicians, plus popcorn and drinks available for purchase while you create. Beer and wine will be available for purchase to guests 21 and over with a valid government issued ID.
All stencil materials, paints, and tools are included. Bring your own items if you wish. Space is limited!
