The Soto String Quartet

Join us for an evening featuring The Soto String Quartet, showcasing a diverse and engaging repertoire including Schumann's "String Quartet No.2, Op.41 No.2: I. Allegro," Villa-Lobos's "String Quartet No.1, W099: III. Canto Lirico," Beethoven's "String Quartet No.7 in F major, Op.59 No.1," and Romero's "Suite para cuerdas: I. Fuga con Pajarillo." Founded in 2020 by Davis Albayeros, the quartet is part of the Pittsfield Chamber Project (PCP), which emphasizes accessible chamber music education. Named after conductor Jorge Soto, whose impact on youth music education is profound, The Soto String Quartet provides talented students with meaningful performance opportunities and guidance for their future musical endeavors. The ensemble features Davis Albayeros as the first violinist, Geivens Dextra on second violin, Daniel Lin on viola, and Ginamarie Bocchino on cello, each with impressive backgrounds and aspirations in music.
